Join us for a full day of practicing your retrieving at the fantastic, purpose built Nettlebridge Gundogs grounds.
This training day will focus on marks and memories, working to build your dog’s confidence in their retrieve. Exercises will be designed to improve your dog’s ability to mark at a distance, successfully handle onto memories and troubleshoot common issues. The facilities offer lovely, inviting cover, retrieving lanes and obstacles into jump pens. Each exercise throughout the day will be followed by a fun test with a prizegiving at the end of the day, all in a supportive group setting.
Starting pistols and dummy launchers will be used where appropriate to imitate the shot and fall of game and test your steadiness. Dogs should therefore have good recall, basic handling and be happy with shot. Open to all breeds (and crossbreeds) but all dogs must be keen to retrieve!
Training will pause to allow your dog’s the opportunity to rest or for you to swap dogs while we break for lunch, which will be provided. Our Media Partner will be on hand to capture an album of images of you and your dog, to be shared with you after the event.
